Monica Johnson Schroeder, a finance graduate of the University of Alabama in Birmingham, has managed production and originations at Capital One in the role of vice president since 2010. In addition to her work with Capital One, Monica Johnson Schroeder engages with a number of professional organizations, including the Financial Management Association.
Financial Management Association International (FMA) has provided a depth of educational resources to the international financial community for nearly five decades. In October, vice president Ronald Masulis will lead the 2018 FMA Annual Meeting at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront in California. The event is scheduled to feature a number of panel discussions and research paper presentations covering a variety of financial topics, as well as a keynote speaker address by Professor Wei Jiang of Columbia Business School. Professor Jiang is a widely published economist with experience in the areas of corporate governance and hedge fund activism.
The 2018 FMA Annual Meeting will also include the Outstanding Financial Executive (OFE) Award ceremony. The OFE program was established in 1984 as a way of recognizing individuals have technically or creatively innovated the financial industry in some way. The 2018 OFE honoree is Andrew Rachleff, co-founder and chief executive officer of Wealthfront.
